Vismay is a premier women’s apparel brand in India. As an already an established brand in the markets it operates, Vismay has been exploring methods to reach out to the millennial population through channels that are more convenient & comfortable for them. They had identified social media as the primary channel that younger generations conveniently explore from time to time. Hence working together with Oorjit, Vismay devised a strategy and business model that would allow them to sell apparels through social channels utilizing a unique business model. This business model revolved around the idea of enabling a franchise model that would allow individuals to sell Vismay products through their social channels utilizing an integrated mobile application.

We set out our work on Vismay by re-structuring the ecommerce store on Commerce Cloud platform with O2O and social selling capabilities. Customers were provided the choice of buying Vismay products from website, mobile app and from marketplaces.

Apart from standard ecommerce features enabled on the website & mobile app, Oorjit has also helped Vismay build a franchise app that allows anybody to become a digital franchise of Vismay and sell products.

Standard & innovative features were provisioned for better customer experience as well as easier management of the mobile & website interfaces. These include the option to:

  • Buy online and pickup from stores. Users could select the product and choose the store they want to collect the product from, based on the availability of the product.
  • Buy online and try at home. Users can give their address and Vismay store team deliver the product to customer home for them to try before buying the products.
  • Run targeted user campaign via cart and catalog promotions to increase repeated purchase from customers.
  • Manage its multiple front-end touch points (website, mobile app & marketplace) effectively.
  • Manage the day to day e-commerce management with ease and promote the platform using integrated marketing capabilities.
  • Provide seamless Omni channel experience & business automation through a deep integration of Oorjit with Vismay’s ‘WIBS ERP’.

The franchise app with social selling feature allows Vismay to onboard resellers from regions that they operate.

A seamless WhatsApp integration ensures that reseller can select products and share the same with their groups & contacts on WhatsApp. The product details (including images, prices and availability) can be shared to the selected WhatsApp numbers by the reseller. The buyer in his network confirms the products they wish to buy by sharing the product code to the reseller. The reseller can then place the order online and give the customer address or their address for delivery. Payments can be made by the reseller or he can choose to checkout as Cash On Delivery.
